A Chameleon named Uma, Seven Years, Dallas, TX, December 2006

Share
We recently went to the studio to have our family pictures taken and let our little lass Uma loose with the photographer and her imagination!:-)The results, as you can see, were magical and memorable!
Uma, the Apple of her Father's Eye, has inspired this poem below.
The Apple of My Eye by Andy De
The very first time that I saw you and held you in my arms, close to my heart
Will stay with me, vivid and etched in my mind’s eye, hereafter-
It was a sublime moment of happiness oh so unfathomable I shall never forget
That has for the better, beyond our wildest imagination, changed our lives forever!

You emerged from your protective cocoon, curious yet so very alert-
In the arms of your beloved father, with your mother speechless with wonder,
As your beautiful eyes gazed thru the haze and saw me first-
Paternal pride stirred within me like I had never experienced ever!

My darling Uma, you will always be the Apple of My Eye, and I, your proud Father!

How quickly have you grown since then, my sugar plum; every day brings new wonder,
Watching you flower into the inimitable, vivacious, talented little person you are, is indeed sheer pleasure!
Every day brings a new word, a new expression, a new nuance of naughtiness that makes us ponder,
Growing with you brings back vivid memories of our childhood, and fills us with joy, delight and wonder!

Reading and comforting you to sleep every night brings my finest sentiments to the fore-
Beholding your beatific smile each night as you fall asleep, is my reason to anticipate the day after!

My precious Uma, the Apple of My Eye, thank you for making me a complete person forever!
