The annual Saraswati Pujo at the Hindu Temple in Irving by the Bengali Association of Dallas Fort-Worth (BA-DFW), presented Uma with the opportunity to perform solo, an Indian Classical (Odissi, a temple dance from Eastern India) Dance that invoked and paid obeisance to Ganesha, the Hindu God of Knowledge and Wisdom. The dance, choreographed by her dance teacher, Ms. Krishnaveni Putrevu, was well received by the audience.
